GORDON
About
GORDON
Gordon is a busy Ku-ring-gai centre with shopping, railway and school activity concentrated around the Pacific Highway, alongside quieter residential areas. Its varied road network supports training from first lessons through to advanced independent driving. Tailwind Driver Training Academy offers automatic driving lessons in Gordon tailored to beginners, test candidates, overseas licence holders and drivers returning after a break.
Prominent roads and streets covered
Possible routes include Pacific Highway, Ryde Road, St Johns Avenue, Park Avenue, McIntyre Street, Cecil Street, Ravenswood Avenue and suitable streets near Gordon station and the shopping precinct. Lessons may connect to Pymble, Killara and West Pymble to introduce additional road types.
Road types, traffic conditions and challenges
Driving lessons in Gordon provide practical experience balancing observation, vehicle control and route planning in a busy suburban centre. Learners can practise parking and low-speed manoeuvres close to more challenging arterial-road situations. This makes it possible to build confidence progressively while developing habits suited to daily commuting and independent Upper North Shore driving.
