Aayam and Komal
Komal and Aayam, a couple from India, moved to Australia about a year ago and settled near Hornsby. Aayam works in the corporate sector, while Komal is beginning an exciting new chapter in education—a field she is both qualified in and deeply passionate about.
Having previously driven in India, they already had valuable experience behind the wheel. Once they had settled into life in Australia, they decided it was time to obtain their Australian driver licences and enjoy greater freedom and convenience. Like many migrants, they also understood the importance of professional guidance to help them adapt to Australian road rules, driving conditions and safety standards.
Komal and Aayam began their lessons with Tailwind at the same time and progressed through their training together. Their goal was not simply to pass the driving test, but to develop safe, confident and responsible driving habits that would serve them well beyond test day.
Their commitment to learning was evident from the beginning. They asked thoughtful questions, clarified every uncertainty and carefully documented the feedback from each lesson so they could review and practise it between sessions. They would return to the next lesson with further questions and a clear determination to improve.
Their shared learning experience also worked beautifully. While one was driving, the other would sit in the back, observe the lesson and learn from the feedback being provided. They encouraged one another, complemented each other’s strengths and became increasingly confident with every session.
In just a month and a half, both Komal and Aayam made remarkable progress. By combining their previous driving experience with their growing knowledge of Australian road rules and safe-driving practices, they successfully crossed the finish line.
Today, Komal and Aayam are both proud holders of full Australian driver licences, ready to enjoy the freedom and independence that comes with driving confidently in their new home.
