Amir

Amir moved from Nepal to Australia almost two years ago. After completing his studies, he has been balancing two jobs while living with his partner in Hornsby. The couple are now preparing to relocate to Tasmania and begin the next chapter of their lives.

Amir brought valuable driving experience from Nepal. However, because he had held his Nepalese licence for only a short period, he needed to progress through the graduated licensing scheme. His previous experience provided a solid foundation, allowing us to focus on developing safe driving habits, adapting to Australian driving standards and strengthening his understanding of local road rules.

Despite achieving strong scores in his first two driving tests, Amir narrowly missed out on passing, with a small but consequential mistake on each occasion. These setbacks were disappointing, but he remained determined, took the feedback on board and continued working towards his goal.

His persistence paid off on his third attempt. With his move to Tasmania approaching, Amir faced the added pressure of what was likely his final opportunity to take the test before relocating. He rose to the occasion, putting his learning into practice and earning his provisional licence.

Now a proud P-plater, Amir is preparing for his next chapter with greater independence and confidence. His Australian driver licence will also be a valuable asset as he explores employment opportunities and settles into life in Tasmania.

At Tailwind Driver Training Academy, we are delighted to celebrate Amir’s achievement. Congratulations, Amir, on your perseverance and well-earned success. We wish you and your partner every happiness in Tasmania and all the best for the journey ahead.
