Gopika
Hardworking, ambitious and talented, Gopika brings dedication to everything she does. From physics, music and dance to caring for her Cavoodle, she balances her interests and responsibilities with enthusiasm and purpose. Her determination, strong values and down-to-earth nature also shone through as she worked towards her next achievement: obtaining an Australian driver licence.
Gopika joined Tailwind Driver Training Academy just under a month ago, keen to develop her driving skills and gain greater independence. After moving to Australia, she quickly recognised how valuable driving would be in helping her travel freely and manage everyday life on her own terms.
Her previous driving experience in India provided a useful foundation. However, she understood the importance of becoming familiar with Australian road rules, local driving conditions and safe driving practices. After researching her options, she contacted Tailwind and booked an introductory one-hour lesson. That first session gave her the confidence to continue with a lesson package.
Her commitment was evident from the outset. Travelling to Hornsby from home or work sometimes involved a journey of more than an hour each way. Despite this, she consistently invested the time and effort needed to make progress.
Initially, Gopika approached driving with some hesitation and uncertainty. With each lesson, that gradually gave way to greater confidence and control. She absorbed feedback quickly, applied what she learned and developed a stronger understanding of observation, decision-making and safe driving techniques.
Determined to be thoroughly prepared, she also completed additional lessons beyond her original package, giving herself more time to refine her skills before the test.
Like many learners, Gopika felt nervous when her driving test began. Within the first few minutes, however, she settled into the drive, focused on the assessor’s instructions and put her preparation into practice.
The result was outstanding: 101 out of 104, earning her a full Australian driver licence.
This achievement reflects Gopika’s dedication, willingness to learn and commitment to becoming a safe, confident driver. It also marks an exciting step towards the independence she values so highly.
At Tailwind, it was a pleasure to support her journey and watch her confidence grow. Seeing her hard work rewarded with such an excellent result was truly fulfilling.

His training is excellent and very thorough. By the time I went for my test, I felt properly prepared rather than just hoping I would pass. If you listen carefully to his advice and put into practice everything he teaches you, you will be in a very strong position to pass your test.
Sujith is not only a wonderful driving instructor but also a genuinely kind and wonderful person. I’m really grateful for all his patience, guidance and support throughout my learning journey.
