A talented Front End engineer by profession, Gui migrated to Australia from Brazil early in 2024. He loves to spend as much time as possible going out and visiting places with his wife. "There is so much to see in the beautiful country. I have taken every opportunity to do just that, thanks to the Brazilian license I hold".

However, the time was almost up for him to get hold of his Australian license. "I have been wanting to get a car and was planning for this in early 2025. However, another window of opportunity just opened up. A Brazilian collague and friend of mine has planned to visit her folks in Brazil in December 2024, and she offered to let me use her car when was going to be away". As exciting a proposition as this sounds, it also suddenly sparked the urgency for Gui to convert his Brazilian license to an Australian license. "I suddenly panicked and realised I had to find help at the earliest".

"This is when the same friend also mentioned about how our ex-colleague (the ex-product manager with the same company we work with) recently started his own driver training academy and had already seen good success with a few students in this short span" says Gui. "This was truly exciting as I knew SK very well from our time together in the company, and I completely trusted him to help me. And at a extremely short notice, SK was more than ready to help me with a class the very next day, as well as with the test the day after. I was fortunate to have found some time with him amidst his busy schedule".

SK spent a good hour and a half the next day with Gui, taking him through the different focus areas in a test, the test sheet and giving him tips on some of the best practises that would help him pass the test with ease. Gui has been driving in Brazil for over 10 years, and that means unlearning some of the non-deal practises from the past. By the end of the session, both SK and Gui were confident. "I was nervous but confident" says Gui.

The test happened and Gui passed the test with ease! "I made a few mistakes during the test, and most of them were what SK had warned me about. However, thanks to the driving session the previous day, I managed to perform well enough to easily pass the test" Gui cannot hide is relief and excitement! "I am certainly going to recommend SK and Tailwind to more of my mates who are in need!"
