Rashmi

Rashmi and her husband, both IT professionals, moved to Australia very recently. Outside of job, Rashmi enjoys travelling, exploring new restaurants, spending time with her friends and dancing. "I love to be a free bird and can't imagine being stuck in place. Work keeps me busy mostly, but I make it a point to enjoy my weekends and other days off" says Rashmi.

Rashmi had been driving in India. "Driving in India, especially Bangalore, is an art in itself" quotes Rashmi. "The busy roads often ends up forcing us to innovate driving skills that are often out of the box, and sometimes even borderline illegal. But it is what it is!"

After reaching Australia, Rashmi realised that those skills could be a double edged sword. "In Australia, there is stricter enforcement of law, and there are specific expectations from drivers with high focus on safety." Rashmi states. "And my lack of confidence in driving in Australia forced me to be a passenger princess while my husband drove... until now, that is!"

There was another challenge which made it crucial that Rashmi passed the driving test in her first attempt. "The task was cut out for me. I could not afford to be unsuccessful!"

Rashmi starting shopping around for driving instructors to help her out, and her best mate came to her help. "A very good friend of mine, Rekha, came to my help. She had passed her driving test recently and was very happy with Tailwind whose professional help she had sought. Getting a driving test slot has not been easy offlate anywhere in NSW. Rashmi ensured she booked in a slot that was well timed. It was not too close to attempt without preperation, and not too far enough to wait a lifetime.

"I was thrilled when I passed in my first attempt. I think all that effort paid off. Sujith doesn’t just teach you how to drive—he builds your confidence every step of the way." Rashmi cannot hide her excitement. "And now for the next step - Switch from the passenger seat to the driver seat and drive our car that intimidates me with its size. And I am going back to Tailwind for help with that as well!" Rashmi signs off!
