Rosalita
Originally from the Philippines, Rosalita has made her home in Sydney’s beautiful northern suburbs, where she and her husband run a successful family gardening business. Self-made and ambitious, she has faced life’s challenges with resilience and determination. Learning to drive independently was her next important goal—one that would give her greater freedom and make travelling for work easier when her husband was busy.
Although Rosalita had held a Philippine driver’s licence many years earlier, she had spent a long time away from driving and had no experience on Australian roads. She recognised the value of professional guidance to rebuild her skills, develop her confidence and prepare for driving in a different environment.
Her research led her to Tailwind Driver Training Academy on Google. After exploring our website and reading our reviews, she booked her first lesson in early 2025. That initial session gave her the confidence to continue her training with us.
Within a couple of months, Rosalita had progressed to the point where she was ready for her driving test. However, an unexpected setback put her plans on hold: she could not locate her old Philippine licence and consequently faced a further wait of several months before becoming eligible to attempt the test.
For someone eager to gain her independence, the delay was frustrating. Yet Rosalita remained focused on her goal. As her eligibility date approached, she returned for additional lessons, working with us to refine her observation checks, hazard responses and manoeuvres. Between lessons, she continued practising in her own car under her husband’s supervision, reinforcing her skills through regular time behind the wheel.
By test day, that combination of professional instruction, supervised practice and personal commitment had brought everything together. A final warm-up lesson helped settle her nerves and fine-tune the details. Rosalita went into her test feeling confident and well prepared.
The result was outstanding: 105 out of 106, with just one minor positioning error.
Her testing officer also complimented the way she drove—a well-earned acknowledgement of the care and preparation she had put into her driving. When the result came through, the tension finally gave way to relief and joy.
For Rosalita, this achievement meant far more than passing a test. It marked the culmination of months of effort, patience through an unexpected delay, and a determination to keep moving towards greater independence.
And the timing made it even more special: on the very same day Rosalita became a proud red P-plater, her son progressed from his red Ps to his green Ps. Two milestones, one memorable day for the family.
We are proud to have supported Rosalita on her journey and delighted to see her hard work rewarded so deservedly. Her commitment, together with her husband’s support and our training, helped turn an important personal goal into a wonderful achievement.
Congratulations, Rosalita! Enjoy the freedom you have worked so hard for. We look forward to seeing you out on the road—driving safely and confidently.
