Sahani

Sahani hails from Sri Lanka, and she lives in Sydney with her hudband, Russ. "Many might have read my husband, Russ's, success story. After he passed the test, he knew we did not have to look beyond Tailwind for my classes as well", says Sahani.

Sahani is a full time employee, and she and Russ have a big social circle. "We love to enjoy with our friends, and many of them live quiet far away. We frequent each others's homes and have weekend fun".

With only Russ being able to drive makes them feel a little restricted. "I always wished that I could take over the wheels when Russ is either tired or not in a position to drive. And I was determined to make that happen."

Sahani started taking lessons after booking a test, and about a week before the date of the test. "I used to drive in Sri Lanka, and I felt I could easily iron out any driving challenges in quick time. But in the first lesson, I realised how nervous I am, and how much is there to unlearn and learn to perform in the test" recalls Sahani.

"SK was very open with his feedback from day 1. After session 1, he felt that I might not be ready for the test, but asked me to hold off any decision to change the test date until the second session is over." Sahani says. Given that the first session happened a little late on a rainy afternoon, the engulfing darkness and intense rain did not quiet help boost Sahani's confidence. However, the story was very different in the second session that was scheduled on a clear morning.

"The feedback was very different after the second session. SK appeared more confident and told that I can be ready, and may just need a couple of additional sessions to iron out a few wrinkles before the test." Sahani recalls. "Russ and I decided to take additional 2 sessions, and I think that immensely helped, especially with reverse parallel parking and three point turns", says Sahani with a smile.

After the last session just before the test, Sahani was well prepared, and that also reflected in her score. "I was so very delighted with the result, almost unbelievable. There I was, a full Australian license holder! And the kind of support and confidence I got from learning with SK and Tailwind has been extraordinary. I am very, very thankful to Tailwind for making it so easy for me. I now recommend Tailwind to all my mates! And ofcourse, we also party harder now!" signs off a bubbly Sahani!
