Vikram

Vikram, originally from Telangana, India, moved to Australia a few years ago as a student. He now lives near Hornsby with his wife and works in retail, where he manages inventory, stock, sales and day-to-day operations. With a demanding job and a busy lifestyle, earning his Australian driver licence was an important goal.

Having gained considerable driving experience in India, Vikram continued driving in Sydney using his Indian licence. He joined Tailwind Driver Training Academy for an intensive course to refine his skills, understand Australian road rules and safe driving practices, and prepare confidently for his driving test.

For experienced overseas drivers like Vikram, one of the greatest challenges is letting go of long-established habits and adapting to Australian driving standards. Success requires the ability to absorb feedback quickly, apply new techniques consistently and remain alert throughout every journey.

Driving tests can also be nerve-racking, and staying composed under pressure is often just as important as demonstrating strong driving skills. When the testing officer said, “Let’s go,” Vikram paused for a few moments, took a deep breath and gathered his thoughts before setting off. It was a simple but effective start that helped him maintain his composure throughout the test.

As the saying goes, “All’s well that ends well”—and Vikram’s test certainly ended on a high note. Apart from a few minor issues, he delivered an excellent performance and successfully earned his full Australian driver licence.

We warmly congratulate Vikram on this fantastic achievement. His calmness, focus and confident performance made a challenging driving test look like a walk in the park. We wish him many years of safe, enjoyable and independent driving!
